the twelfth week

In the beginning of the week I had a lab meeting to give a update about the work and how far I am and what the next steps are. This meeting didn’t really take a long time because there wasn’t really much to say, I have been doing the same thing for the last week and it would take at least another week before I could finish this part of my project. after this meeting I had a meeting with my internal supervisor back home because there was a intermediate evaluation for my thesis. there was a lot of feedback, most of it was clear but somethings needed extra explaining. apparently some parts were not as logical for other readers as they were for me, so I still have some correcting to do. then for the rest of the week it was mostly the same work as the week before.

thursday was a holiday called vappo, apparently it is really big here in Tampere because went to the city to walk around and I barely could walk because of all the people on the street. there was a lot to do, there was a parade, some kind of fair. it is especially fun for students because they get dunked in the river with a crane, they were all very happy to be dunked. it was very busy, both banks of the rivere were full of people watching the whole thing while picknicking. I didn’t stay for the whole thing but I watched for a while. in the weekend, on saturday i went into the city but this time there weren’ that many people. I wanted to go to a italian restaurant that has the most extensive menu in Tampere but when I got there, there was a line outside the restaurant so I went to a chinese noodle restaurant, it was also very good. after that I went to get bread and wnet home to work a bit on my thesis. on sunday I went grocery shopping in the morning and in the afternoon I worked a bit more.
